Hi, I’m Prof. Emmanuel Jesuyon Dansu

I am an author, youth mentor, industrial mathematicians, and an assistant professor at Tohoku University, Japan, where I earned my PhD (Information Science) in Mathematical Biology on scholarship by the Government of Japan, under the MEXT scholarship programme.

Prior to earning a PhD, I earned a distinction in my Master of Technology, Industrial Mathematics (Optimization and Optimal Control) programme, and a Bachelor of Technology in Industrial Mathematics (first class honours), both from Federal University of Technology, Akure in Nigeria, where I also lectured, starting as a Graduate Assistant and rising through the ranks to Lecturer 1, between 2012- 2023.

Furthermore, I am the author of Keeping Success Pace, a book that shares my life story, contains practical tips for academic excellence and explains success and failure from a perspective rather different from the norm.

MY EXPERIENCES

Over the course of my career, I have authored numerous publications in mathematics and math-related discourses as well as modelling and qualitative analysis.

In addition to mentoring youth for personal and professional development, I have taught numerous undergraduate and graduate classes in Africa and Asia, and presented papers at several conferences across 4 continents.
