Book Reviews
The book, steadily yet strikingly, unveils the reality of a man with a seeming lowly family background but endowed with the strength and grace of God.
The author, fondly called EJD, who I have known for over 12 years purposefully paces us through his life journey thus far. The work unwraps how the spirit of excellence, sheer hard work, persistence, and the plan of God for a man are explicitly interconnected and important in delivering success.
It explains the role of association and healthy competition in keeping success pace. I do not doubt that the book will edify you and be a valuable present to the younger generation.
Anytime our principal at Badagry Grammar School came to the assembly and required us to sing the school anthem, you can be sure it was either because of Dansu Emmanuel (75% of the time) or other things (25% of the time). Dansman, you have carried the winning spirit in you, and transferring this lifestyle through this book is simply fantastic.
It is a great honour to have you as a protégé and one that has gone ahead of his mentor.
Dear reader, this book will bring life to you, hope to your situation, and faith that tomorrow holds something good for you. Even if your background isn’t smooth like that of others, this epic will succour your heart when life’s billow rolls its roaring waves at you. Believe, therefore, that all shall be well in the end.
Dr Emmanuel Jesuyon Dansu is a rare breed, a practical Christian and an optimistic personality. Since I met him, he has been a source of inspiration, encouragement and a solid drive behind the wheel of my progress. I know he might not realise how powerfully he has influenced me positively with pushing forward with my life pursuit. His humble beginning and how he surmounts life situations are quite uplifting. He is humble, kind, and encouraging, to say the least. He is a realist who will not push his opinion on others. However, if one is willing to learn and grow, you can pick one or two things from his ways of life just as the Bible says – “Go to the ant thou sluggard. Consider its ways and be wise” (Proverbs 6:6)...I highly recommend this book for a grab to read and thoroughly digest.
